The cast includes Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, and Sigourney Weaver. “The Banshees of Inisherin” This film, starring Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, tells the story of two lifelong friends who find themselves at a crossroads when one of them abruptly ends their relationship. “The Banshees of Inisherin” also earned a nomination for Best Original Screenplay and Best Original Score. Farrell was nominated for Best Actor and Kerry Condon was nominated for Best Supporting Actress. Gleeson and Barry Keoghan both earned Best Supporting Actor nominations. A family secret leads him to discover how the power of movies can show him the truth. The cast includes Michelle Williams, Paul Dano and Gabriel LaBelle. Along with the film’s nominations for Best Original Screenplay and Score, Williams was nominated for Best Actress and Judd Hirsch was nominated for Best Supporting Actor. “Tár” This film describes the life of Lydia Tár, the first female conductor of a major German orchestra. The cast includes Cate Blanchett, Noémie Merlant and Nina Hoss. Along with a nomination for original screenplay, Blanchett was nominated for best actress. “Top Gun: Maverick” Maverick continues to push boundaries 30 years later as a top-ranked naval aviator, but his new challenge is to lead Top Gun graduates on a mission that demands the ultimate sacrifice. The film was also nominated for best original screenplay. “Women Talking” Women from an isolated religious community face a brutal reality about their faith.
