US mobile network company Verizon announced the availability of Verizon Mobile for Microsoft Teams, a new service that integrates mobile devices with Microsoft Teams for calling and collaboration.
Claiming to be the first carrier in the US to allow subscribers to use their mobile device’s native dialer to receive calls as a Teams endpoint, Verizon launched Verizon Mobile for Microsoft Teams to create a unified business communications experience.
“This is yet another example of how we are helping customers adapt and succeed in today’s changing workplace by providing the flexibility to work from anywhere,” said Verizon Business CEO Sampath Sowmyanarayan.
Verizon lists the key benefits of the new collaboration:
One Number Simplicity: Verizon Mobile for Microsoft Teams gives employees the flexibility to work from virtually anywhere without losing context or business presence.
Call quality: Teams calls made using the smartphone dialer are treated as voice calls on the Verizon LTE network
Call Transfer – Allows users to move between devices and Teams endpoints during a call without interrupting the call
Cost savings: Through an integrated calling solution that can replace standalone solutions, Verizon Mobile for Microsoft Teams helps reduce costs while keeping employees connected.
Security – The ability to enforce secure and compliant business policies on all employee communications
With Verizon Mobile for Microsoft Teams, organizations can have a unified mobile collaboration and communication experience that minimizes costs and reduces security risks.

ENABLE HYBRID CLOUD AND REDUCE NETWORK LATENCY
Hybrid cloud promises to bring together the best of both worlds, allowing businesses to combine the scalability and cost-effectiveness of the cloud with the performance and control you can get from your on-premises infrastructure.
Reducing WAN latency is one of the biggest issues with hybrid cloud performance. Taking advantage of data compression and deduplication can reduce the latency of your network.
Research firm, Markets and Markets, predicted that the hybrid cloud market size is expected to grow from $38.27 billion in 2017 to $97.64 billion in 2023.
Colocation facilities provide many of the benefits of having your servers in the cloud while maintaining physical control of your systems.
The cloud adjacency provided by colocation facilities can allow you to take advantage of your high-bandwidth, low-latency connections to the cloud, as well as provide a robust connection to your local corporate network.
