Concept renderings of the iPhone 15
According to recent reports, Apple is set to release a total of oven iPhone 15 models this year, including iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The standard iPhone 15 and 15 Plus models will ditch the notch cutout and adopt a new Dynamic Island design. To demonstrate the new design, some outlets created concept renderings of the iPhone 15 in advance.
The design of the standard iPhone 15 is expected to be largely unchanged, with an aluminum center frame and a diagonal dual camera on the back. However, the addition of the Dynamic Island feature is a significant change. It should be noted that the standard iPhone 15 will not have a high 120Hz screen refresh rate, which will remain exclusive to the Pro version.
In terms of hardware, the standard iPhone 15 will use the same A16 chip as the iPhone 14 Pro, while the Pro version will feature the latest A17 Bionic chip based on TSMC 3nm process. In addition, the Pro version will have a titanium midframe, 8 GB of RAM, solid state buttonsand a periscopic telephoto lens.
These major updates to the Pro version will help Apple further differentiate itself from the Plus version, resulting in a higher retail price for the Pro version. This move will also create more market space for the Plus version.
In general, it seems that Apple is aiming to meet the different needs and budgets of consumers with its latest iPhone models. The standard iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will offer a new design and a more affordable option, while the Pro and Pro Max versions will offer advanced hardware and features for power users.
